Field with Hay

Here's a new painting I finished over the weekend.

Picture's worth a thousand words... so I can't add much.

I just found your painting blog John. What good fun these images are, and very different from the constraints of illustration.
You amaze me with the speed you can work, and you still find time to paint like this. Wow!
Today... I am in the 'Padded Cell' kind if studio, all but chained to my drawing board!

Thanks for dropping by June!

I mostly did up this blog just to help focus my thinking about what direction my painting could go.

Also I think it might work to show to buyers or art galleries at some future point.

But mostly it's just for fun...

Thanks for the compliments.

John! I just discovered this blog of yours. What a great idea for you to showcase your paintings on canvas! Wowzers, I am impressed. I really like the way this 'tree' painting is going. Nice!

On my first visit here I am amazed at your beautiful work. We live next to the woods.... lots of woods. There are woods around, behind, nearby, down the road, up the road...woods woods woods. And I enjoy the phases and moods of the woods... you do more than that, you paint them with all the feeling and emotion that others feel. Marvelous site!
